Peace Be With You

An inspiring mass on Sunday got me thinking about Peace.  It's a word that is so overused and an idea that has become almost fantastical.  Peace.  It seems so far from being real and viable that people have forgotten to strive for it at all.  The more I think about it, the more I realize that Peaceful is the best and most I can ever strive to be as a friend, a daughter, a sister, a wife, and, soon, a mother.  If I made peace my first priority in the morning, then everything else would follow.  Imagine the effect of peace in the lives of individuals... it might just cause more peaceful relationships and then who knows where Peace could go from there.  It is not an easy task, but it's a challenge I am willing to undertake.
I took this a step further in thinking about peaceful (and non-peaceful) people I know.  It seems that, nearly without exception, a person's home is a reflection of his or her peacefulness.  It is clear that it is the person who causes the lack of peace in the home and not the other way around, but I can't help but wonder about the effects of transforming the surroundings in order to begin transforming the person.  And so I leave you with spaces filled with peace and serenity.  May Peace be with you, now and always.
